Here are some ways to get attendees to visit your booth.
Duck, Duck, GO!
To encourage exploration and networking within the ToxExpo Exhibit Hall, SOT is piloting a special scavenger hunt in 2025. The scavenger hunt is called “Duck, Duck, GO!” and consists of attendees trying to locate ducks that have been placed in ToxExpo exhibitor booths. The exhibitors selected at random to host one of the fifty coded “Duck, Duck, GO!” ducks for their booths have been notified separately.
To ensure that those with coded ducks do not receive extra attention from attendees, the list of exhibitors with coded ducks will not be published. In addition, the exhibitors not chosen to receive one of the fifty coded “Duck, Duck, GO!” ducks can still join in the fun and should stop by the ToxExpo Show Management Sales Office before 5:00 pm Sunday to receive another type of duck for their booth.
Therefore, all exhibitors can participate in "Duck, Duck, GO!", so attendees will be encouraged to visit as many exhibitors as possible to find ducks.
The duck can be placed in a prominent location or a more obscure location within your booth — the choice is yours! After that, you do not need to take any other action beyond interacting with attendees as you normally would and revealing the duck if someone asks about it.

1. Visit ToxExpo exhibitors to find ducks.
2. Open the SOT Event App.
3. Navigate to “Duck, Duck, GO!” in the “Multimedia” section.
4. Scan the ducks with QR codes.
5. Watch their name move up the leaderboard!
LET THE CONVERSATIONS BEGIN AND HAVE FUN!
GIVE AWAY A COOL GIFT
Attendees love giveaways, especially if they can be used over and over. Add your logo to the item and it becomes a traveling showcase of your brand. Just remember to read the DISTRIBUTION OF SAMPLES AND GIVEAWAYS section in the 2025 ToxExpo Rules and Regulations for more information and to ensure your giveaway is acceptable. Here's an idea: The Orange County Convention Center just installed new water refill stations throughout, including the ToxExpo exhibit hall. Attendees need to stay hydrated and may need a water bottle!
RAFFLE A PRIZE
Exhibitors may raffle prizes from their booths provided that the value of a prize does not exceed $1,000. Participating exhibitors are responsible for informing attendees of the process for which their prizes will be given away. All prizes must be collected by the winners in the participating exhibitor booths.
QUENCH THIRSTS & EXCITE PALATES FROM YOUR BOOTH
Treat attendees visiting your booth to a beverage, a savory snack, a sweet treat, and other yummy delectables by following these guidelines from the ToxExpo Rules and Regulations.
- All food and beverages must be ordered from the official caterer for the SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. SOT prohibits the distribution of food and beverages not purchased through or approved by the official caterer.
- All exhibitor-generated food and beverage orders are between the exhibiting organization and the official caterer.
- SOT will not be financially responsible for any exhibitor-generated food and beverage order.
- Exhibitors assume all liability for the food and beverages ordered for their booths.
- Food and beverage orders for an exhibit booth may only be served during ToxExpo exhibit hall open hours and within the exhibitor’s booth. Food and beverages may not be given to attendees outside the exhibitor’s booth. All food stations and beverage bars must face the interior of the exhibitor’s booth. Service of food and beverage in the exhibit hall aisles is prohibited.
- SOT reserves the right to assign specific time periods for when booth catering can be served.
- All exhibitor-generated food and beverage orders are subject to SOT approval.
